Fun assignment...Suwannee River

I really enjoy being able to go on these types of assignments. It's not sports shooting which I like best but it's a great way to spend the day shooting pictures and video. Gainesville Sun reporter Nathan Crabbe and I went to visit the Big Shoals area of the Suwannee River in White Springs for a story on low water levels. I'm posting two pics and a video..Enjoy! Later I will try to post some video and pics from a bigger project we did on the Suwannee River earlier in the summer.

A day in the park

Here are a few pictures from a day in the park. It's not brain surgery but a fun way to spend the day filling the pages of the newspaper on a slow day. It ran in our features section as a full photo page. I also did a video which I will try to include for your viewing pleasure...let's hope it works. I shot random pieces of footage and my co-workers Tricia Coyne and Aaron Daye arranged some music for it.

FRANCE

I thought I would post a couple of my pics from France. Nothing much. I took only my new point 'n shoot, the Canon power shot SD800is, not a bad little camera. I wanted this to be a true vacation no work cameras. I don't regret it one bit. I had such an amazing time. I wish I could travel all the time. (Don't we all.) I went with my family. We went to visit and meet my stepmother's family. They were all amazing and very welcoming, they kept feeding us nonstop. We traveled from Paris to the Dauphine region in the south then up to the Normandy region in the north. JUST AMAZING
